You Came to my copywriting portfolio to see what I cAN do, right?
That’s a great idea!
Here’s a flavour of some of the different copywriting projects I’ve completed over the last few years. Unfortunately, there are plenty of others that I can’t share publicly as I wrote them on behalf of an agency or under NDA. So if you can’t find what you’re looking for, please send me an email and we can have a chat.
LARGO JACKSON & PARTNERS – Website
EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT FOR THE GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE INDUSTRY
Largo Jackson wanted to update their website and needed some professional, optimised copy to populate it.
Their main aim was to simplify the message, making sure it wasn’t too wordy. And they wanted to create a page for each of the sectors so they could target sector-specific SEO keywords – these were provided by a specialist SEO agency.
Separating the pages out in this way allowed us to talk to each different sector customer in their own language, picking on the pain points they, specifically, experience when it comes to recruiting their senior people.

A small section of copy from the Home page.
Making sure potential customers who land on the website know exactly what Largo Jackson is offering and where to go next.
The main headline and subhead at the top of the page (not shown here) make it clear that the company specialise within the global infrastructure industry.
A small section from the About page.
The MD particularly wanted to get across the fact that they niche in these particular industries / sectors because that’s where their vast experience lays.

Graham Jackson, MD of Largo Jackson said:
“We worked closely with Nicky on the development of our new website and brochure and have found her to be very professional, approachable and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Nicky very quickly understood the markets we operate in, the nuances within our business and service offering and the way we sell our services globally – which is no mean feat!
“I am more than happy to recommend her to any prospective client and am confident that she would exceed their expectations.”
apex architecture – Website
Architect services – London & the west country
With offices in London & Bristol, Apex Architecture are happy to cover most of the south of the UK – for the right project!
When David, got in touch asking for some copy for the website they were creating in-house, I could immediately tell that he knew the kind of message he wanted to put across. He wanted to make sure potential customers understood the personable way they like to work. Listening closely to their clients and working together to get it right – very much how we ended up working together on this project.

Apex are not a large company, they’re really personal and pride themselves on working closely with their clients to truly understand exactly what they’re looking for.
They wanted to get this across on the home page as well as make it clear they have the experience to take projects through from concept to completion.
This really gives a flavour of what Apex Architecture is all about.
I remember so clearly when David, who I worked closely with to write the website, used that phrase “I like to think I’m the steadying hand of experience on the tiller.” – I love it when a gem of a phrase comes out at the interview stage.

k interiors – Website & newsletters
boutique Interior design studio, clevedon near bristol
Kay from K Interiors is a talented interior designer who specialises in creating beautifully colour-filled homes. We wrote her initial website years ago, but when she wanted to bring it up-to-date in 2023, to better target her favourite colour-loving clients, she got back in touch.
Not only were we updating the existing copy, but Kay had added another string to her ‘business bow’ – a bespoke furnishings arm. So she wanted to add plenty of information about this as well as some other services she offers.

Positioning herself at the luxury end of the market, Kay wanted to make sure the words we used were carefully chosen to attract the right audience.

Kay particularly liked this header as it really gets to the nub of her ethos, one of sustainability and designing for life rather than following the latest fashions.
More recently Kay asked me to help out with idea generation and writing for her newsletter which I’ve been really enjoying.

braendle limousines – Website
luxury limousine service based in basel, switzerland
When Rolf Braendle approached me about writing the words for their limousine website, he was keen to celebrate the ‘Swissness’ of this luxury brand. As a non-native English speaker operating for mainly wealthy international clients, he had decided to write the website in English initially, before translating it into his native German.

Braendle were keen to come up with the perfect tagline for the homepage – and with a few iterations we got there.
The main USP of this luxury brand is that nothing is too much trouble.
Rolf explained that his clientele appreciate the personal touch and so I suggested writing part of the homepage as a message from Rolf himself, with his name signed to it.
He loved the idea and felt it was really effective for the target audience.

We wrote numerous pages targeting different SEO keywords, including this one for wedding limousines in Basel.
Braendle were keen that even though copy could get emotional around this subject it should remain slightly formal and professional.
flear farm holiday cottages – Website
Holiday homes in south devon
Flear Farm holiday cottages is the perfect place to get away from it all in nature. Based in the South Hams, it offers lots of gorgeous purpose built holiday cottages as well as one larger house. A lovely place to stay for a family celebration.
The family that owns Flear Farm got in touch when they needed a wording refresh for their existing website. They also wanted to put an SEO strategy into place to try an win an ongoing Google war against a long-time competitor. They’re pretty booked out these days and have plenty of 5 star reviews to their name, so we must have done something right.

The feel of the copy was to be welcoming and friendly and really sell the family-friendly aspect of the holiday homes.
The idea of relaxing and reconnecting with nature was also important to them.

As part of this project I researched and identified appropriate SEO keywords and incorporated them throughout the website.
The idea of relaxing and reconnecting with nature was also important to them.
koivu – Website & blogs
designer and manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, kent
I have worked with Koivu for many years, writing copy for their website and creating regular content for their blog and newsletters.

One of Koivu’s USPs is their sustainable operations and incredibly low VOCs in the materials they use.
So it’s important to get this across in the copy on the website.
Koivu requested a monthly blog talking all things kitchen design, plywood and sustainability.
I work closely with the team to suggest ideas, research keywords, produce valuable blogs and upload them to WordPress.

If you’d like to see examples of the newsletters I create for Koivu, I’ll be happy to send them to you.
